A new multi-million naira market complex has been officially opened in Gboko, the second largest city in Benue State. The modern facility, which can accommodate over 2,000 traders, is equipped with shops, stalls, storage facilities, and parking spaces.

The market complex was constructed through a public-private partnership arrangement and is expected to significantly boost economic activities in Gboko and surrounding communities. Traders who were previously operating in makeshift structures have been relocated to the new facility, which offers better security and amenities.

The Gboko Local Government Chairman expressed gratitude to the investors and called on traders to maintain the facilities. He noted that the market would generate substantial revenue for the local government through taxes and levies.
